ZOMP is a University of Cambridge spinout focused on developing the world's first 3D imaging flow cytometer. This innovative technology combines high-volume flow cytometry with whole-cell 3D imaging, allowing for the quantitative analysis and sorting of millions of cells based on spatial, morphological, and fluorescence data at thousands of events per second. The company aims to enhance cell analysis in various fields, including drug discovery, immunotherapy, and cancer diagnosis. Founded by Professor Steven Lee, Dr. Kevin O’Holleran, and Gillies Kleboe, ZOMP leverages advanced optical microscopy and flow cytometry techniques to achieve 100 times greater sensitivity than traditional 2D imaging cytometers. Their core product features whole-cell 3D imaging, high-speed processing, and advanced data extraction capabilities. ZOMP has developed a commercial prototype and is actively working on product integration, supported by funding from various investors, including Foresight WAE Technology Funds and ZEISS Ventures.
